Project Team Qualifications
INCITE Consulting, LLC (INCITE) will manage the project, leading the effort for the resource identification, analysis and planning report. INCITE will provide leadership in facilitating all community and steering committee meetings. We have included four subcontractors with expertise specifically suited to this planning effort. In addition, professional advisors will be used to compliment the services of INCITE.
INCITE Consulting, LLC
Kathryn Wadsworth (INCITE Consulting, LLC) will be the primary contact and will serve as Project Manager. Ms. Wadsworth has extensive experience with leading collaborative efforts and has built a career focused on projects involving local, state and federal government, organizations, private businesses and citizens. Ms. Wadsworth is a recognized leader in the facilitation of public processes and planning efforts. Her current work includes managing the Chaffee County ENERGY STAR program, serving on the Colorado Geothermal Task Force and representing Chaffee County to the Colorado Governors Energy Office as a Community Sustainability Coordinator.
Strategic Partners
Chris Martin (Headwaters Energy) will provide expertise in residential, small businesses, and commercial applications for small wind, solar photovoltaic, solar thermal, ground source heat pumps and micro-hydro systems. Mr. Martin is the owner of Headwaters Energy a consulting and renewable energy company in Buena Vista, CO. Mr. Martin is a licensed engineer with a BS in Architectural Engineering and a degree in Solar Energy Technology. Headwaters Energy is focused on providing sustainable energy consultation for home owners, builders and developers. Mr. Martin is a certified energy rater for Built Green, Energy Star, and LEED projects.
Tim Klco (Peak Solar Designs) will lead the planning effort to identify and catalog renewable resources for appropriate uses, documentation and recommendations. Mr. Klco is the owner of Peak Solar Designs of Salida, CO and has been providing renewable energy services to Chaffee County since 2004. Offering custom design, installation and maintenance of solar, wind and thermal systems he has extensive experience in identifying the best models to fit property and personal needs.
Mr. Klco strives to educate the benefits of a sustainable community both locally and globally. Protecting the environment, diversifying energy supply, increasing independence from fossil fuels, economic health and local job creation are always on the forefront of Peak Solar Design’s mission. The systems installed in Chaffee County offset carbon emissions equivalent to driving a half of million miles a year. Peak Solar has brought over 200 KW of renewable energy to the area.
Michael Ferree (Cate Street Capital) will bring his extensive background in financial, cost benefit and economic efficiency analysis in renewable energy projects to the planning process. Mr. Ferree is Vice President-Project Management of Cate Street Capital, Inc., a financial services company specializing in the area of project finance. The company’s focus is on projects with sustainable structures which can include energy projects as well as products manufactured from renewable feedstocks. His duties include working with project developers to prepare their projects for equity placement and debt financing. Preparation includes review and due diligence document preparation of all areas of a project including permits, contracts and support documents as well as preparation and or analysis of financial models and closing documents. The company is currently engaged in three biomass-to-electricity, one solar photovoltaic, one geothermal and two biodiesel projects.
Mr. Ferree, a resident of Salida, remains an active private developer of projects, primarily in the energy field but also in projects with potential for sustainable positive societal impact. He is a member of Cistron, LLC, a renewable energy project developer, Energen, LLC an electrical generation project developer, Andrew Nevada Company, Inc. a machinery brokerage company and Glass Island, Inc. a renewable energy development company focused on Colorado projects.
Yvonne Barnes (Mt. Mapping) will be responsible for Geographic Information Systems data collection and mapping for thematic theme evaluation of renewable resources, local government facilities and residential buildings. Ms. Barnes, owner of Mountain Mapping a Salida company, is a cartographer and GIS Analyst completely familiar with all aspects of data acquisition and map production. She will create, analyze and manage the spatial data and associated attributes derived from the resource findings. Ms. Barnes serves as a board member on the Sangre De Cristo GIS Steering Committee and has served Chaffee County, Salida and Poncha Springs for their cartographic needs.
Mark Wiard (Wiard Web Design) will serve as public outreach coordinator and provide website development for use as a clearing house during the planning process. Mr. Wiard is a twenty year resident of salida and began is online communications career working for the Mountain Mail newspaper where he developed the first small newspaper website in Colorado and won several award from the Colorado Press Association. As a private website designer and online consultant he has developed websites for clients throughout Chaffee County, and Colorado. Past and present clients include: Chaffee County, Monarch Ski and Snowboard Area, Chaffee County Visitor’s Bureau, City of Salida. In addition to his commercial clients he maintains web presences for many local non-profits, including: Land Trust of the Upper Arkansas, GARNA, The Convergence Project, and the Chaffee County Family and Youth Initiatives. One of his current projects is TravelGreenColorado.com a group effort with several residents aimed at developing and promoting sustainable tourism in Colorado.
Advisor
Khurshid Qureshi, PhD (VerdeLogix) will provide resources in monitoring and managing alternative energy production. Mr. Qureshi is the CEO of VerdeLogix, a high-tech start-up dedicated to optimization of alternate energy output to electrical grids. Headquartered in Colorado Springs, VerdeLogix provides a new and innovative way to integrate the forecasted and predictable data for supply and demand. The data gathered is used for virtual connectivity of alternative energy producers and users, forecasted output to electrical grid for power generation, future capacity and renewable energy storage and distribution planning.
